Reschedule

Rescheduling is moving a confirmed booking to a different slot without cancelling and starting over. Letting clients reschedule themselves (within your policy) reduces no-shows, because a client who cannot make it moves the slot instead of simply not turning up. The calendar and reminders update automatically.

Why reschedule matters

Rescheduling keeps the booking and its payment intact and only changes the time. Cancelling and rebooking is messier: money has to go back and forth, and the slot may be taken by someone else in between.

For a service business, an easy reschedule is a no-show prevention tool. A client who cannot make Thursday will usually move the booking if it takes two taps. If it needs a phone call or a WhatsApp negotiation, some will simply not turn up. Set limits on how often or how late people can move a booking, so the option is not abused.

On Book A Sloth both the client and the host can reschedule a confirmed booking. The Google Calendar event moves with it and keeps the same Google Meet link, so nobody has to resend joining details. On Sloth Active, both of you also get the reschedule notice on WhatsApp and email. On the free Sloth plan you see it as a notice in your dashboard.

Example

A Noida client who booked a Tuesday 7 pm career-counselling call gets stuck at the office and moves it to Thursday 7 pm herself; the Meet link stays the same.
