Answers to common questions, for guests booking a service and hosts running their page.
Booking, sign-in, payments, and managing your bookings.
Booking a service
Booking on Book A Sloth takes a minute, and you don't need an account to do it.
Signing in with your phone
If you're booking a service, your phone number is your identity — there's no separate sign-up, and no password to remember.
OTP code problems
The 6-digit code we send to sign you in or confirm a booking is called an OTP. Here's how to fix the common issues.
Is my booking confirmed?
A booking is confirmed once payment goes through (for paid services) or straight away (for free ones). When it's confirmed, you get a confirmation by WhatsApp and email, and it shows as confirmed on your My Bookings page.
Reschedule or cancel a booking
You can move or cancel your own bookings from your My Bookings page.
Refunds and failed payments
If a payment fails, you are not charged — no money is kept for a failed attempt. Just try booking again. If your bank shows a pending hold against a failed payment, it reverses on its own.
Leaving a review
You can review a booking once it's completed — after the session has happened and is marked done. Before that, there's nothing to review yet.
Buying and downloading digital products
Some hosts sell digital products — guides, templates, recordings — alongside their bookable services.
Your profile and email preferences
Your name, email, and phone number live on your Profile page. Sign in with your phone number, open Profile, and edit them there.
Setting up, getting paid, plans, and growing your page.
Becoming a host
Hosts (also called creators) are the people who publish services and take bookings on Book A Sloth. Setting up is a short guided flow.
Creating and managing services
A service is anything bookable you offer — a session, a class, a consult, a slot.
Availability and Google Calendar
You control exactly when you can be booked.
Getting paid — earnings and payouts
When a guest pays for a booking, the money is collected through the platform and added to your earnings. You can see your balance and every transaction under Earnings in your dashboard.
Plans and upgrading
Book A Sloth has three plans. See the pricing page for current prices, limits, and the full comparison.
Why am I not getting bookings?
If your page is quiet, run through this checklist — most gaps are one of these.
Your username and booking link
Your username is your public booking link: bookasloth.com/your-name. It's what you share with clients, and it's how guests find your page and services.
Branding and theme colours
Your public page can reflect your brand rather than looking like a generic tool.
Selling digital products
Alongside bookable services, you can sell digital products — guides, templates, recordings, anything that's a file.
Reminders, notifications, and badges
Confirmations, reschedules, and cancellations go out automatically by WhatsApp and email — to you and to your guest — whenever a booking changes. Nothing to set up; it happens on every booking.
About Book A Sloth, pricing, trust, and reaching us.
What is Book A Sloth?
Book A Sloth is a booking-and-payments platform for people who sell their time — coaches, tutors, consultants, therapists, freelancers, and creators.
Pricing and commission
Full, current prices and limits are always on the pricing page — this is an overview of how it works.
Is my payment and data safe?
Payments run through Razorpay, one of India's most widely used and RBI-regulated payment gateways — the same rails behind UPI, netbanking, and card payments you already use. We never store your card details.
