Availability
Availability is the set of hours and days you are open for bookings. A good booking tool shows only your real free slots and hides times you are busy, so clients never double-book you. Book A Sloth syncs with Google Calendar so a meeting there blocks the matching slot automatically.
Why availability matters
Availability is the bridge between your real week and what clients can book. If it is wrong, you either lose bookings because slots look full, or get bookings you cannot honour. Most professionals set a weekly pattern, then make exceptions for holidays, travel, exams or family functions.
It matters most when your week is split across several calendars: clinic hours, college lectures, personal plans. A booking tool that reads only your weekly hours will not know about the wedding you added to Google Calendar last night. Syncing the two keeps the page honest.
On Book A Sloth you set weekly hours for each day (the default is Monday to Saturday, 10 am to 6 pm, which you can change), block specific dates, and choose a buffer between bookings. Your open slots are your weekly hours, minus blocked dates, existing bookings, busy times from your Google Calendar and the buffer. Slots are shown in your own time zone, with a label.
Example
A Chennai dentist opens Monday to Saturday, 10 am to 7 pm, blocks Pongal week, and a lunch meeting in Google Calendar hides the 1 pm slot automatically.
