Google Calendar sync

Google Calendar sync connects your booking tool to your Google Calendar both ways: new bookings appear as calendar events, and events you already have block those slots from being booked. It is the simplest way to avoid double booking across work and personal commitments. Book A Sloth also creates a Google Meet link for online sessions.

Why google calendar sync matters

Google Calendar sync connects your booking page with the calendar you already use. It works in two directions. Bookings appear on your calendar as events, and events already on your calendar hide the matching slots on your booking page.

It matters for anyone whose week is split across places: a doctor with hospital OPD hours and private consults, a tutor with school duties, a consultant with client meetings. Without sync you update two places every time plans change, and sooner or later the page offers a slot you are not free for.

On Book A Sloth busy times from your primary Google Calendar block slots, and they are checked again at the moment a client books. Online bookings are added to your calendar with a Google Meet link, and the client is added to the invite when they gave an email. Rescheduling a booking moves the event and cancelling removes it. Make changes in Book A Sloth itself, because moving the Google event does not change the booking.

Example

A Mumbai architect adds a site visit to Google Calendar for Friday 3 to 5 pm, and the 3 pm and 4 pm consultation slots on her booking page disappear without her touching them.
