Meeting link

A meeting link is the video-call URL (such as Google Meet) generated automatically when a client books an online session, and sent to both of you with the confirmation and reminders. Nobody has to create or share it by hand. For in-person services the booking carries your location instead.

Why meeting link matters

A meeting link is the address both people click to join an online session, such as a Google Meet or Zoom URL. It needs to reach the client with the booking and again in the reminder, because a last-minute "please send the link" message is how online sessions start late.

Creating links by hand for every booking is easy to get wrong: the wrong link sent to the wrong client, a reused link where a previous client is still waiting, or a link buried in a long WhatsApp chat. A separate link for each booking is cleaner and more private.

On Book A Sloth, once you connect Google Calendar, every online booking gets its own Google Meet link, created after payment and added to the calendar event. If the booking is rescheduled the link stays the same, and if it is cancelled the event is removed. In-person services carry your location instead of a link.

Example

A Pune career coach's client books a 45-minute online session and gets a Google Meet link in the confirmation; the same link comes again in the 24-hour reminder, so nobody has to ask for it.
