Payout
A payout is the transfer of money a client paid for a booking into your own bank account. The payment is collected upfront and your share settles to you after the session. On Sloth Active there is 0% commission, so you keep your full price; the client pays a flat ₹10 booking fee (plus GST) on top.
Why payout matters
A payout is the moment money you earned becomes money in your bank. With online bookings the client pays first, the platform or gateway holds it, and then transfers your share to your account. Knowing when that happens, and what is deducted, matters more for cash flow than the headline fee.
Deductions usually include the gateway's charge and any platform commission. When payments pass through an e-commerce operator in India, TDS under income tax and TCS under GST can also apply. Both are credited against your PAN, so you can claim them when you file your returns.
On Book A Sloth the transfer is created when the client pays and held until about 24 hours after the scheduled end of the session, then released to your bank. Each payout comes with a statement listing your price, the commission (5% on Sloth, 0% on Sloth Active), the gateway charge, and TDS and TCS. If you cancel, the client is refunded and no payout is made for that booking.
Example
A Thane fitness trainer's Saturday 7 to 8 am session is paid on Wednesday; the money is held until about 8 am Sunday and then released to her bank with a line-by-line statement.
