Calendly pricing in India starts at US$10 per seat per month for the Standard plan on annual billing, or US$12 billed monthly. At ₹96.73 to the dollar that is ₹967 to ₹1,161 before tax. Add 18% GST and a typical card forex markup and Standard costs about ₹1,190 to ₹1,430 a month. The Free plan costs nothing.
Calendly bills in US dollars, pounds or euros, never in rupees, so your real cost depends on the exchange rate and your card. This guide converts every plan to ₹, explains how GST works for individuals and GST-registered businesses, lists what the free plan leaves out, and explains why Calendly cannot collect UPI payments. All prices were checked on calendly.com on 10 October 2026.
Calendly plans and prices (as of October 2026)
The Calendly pricing page lists a Free plan, two paid self-serve plans (Standard and Teams) and Enterprise. Paid plans are priced per seat, and a seat is needed for each person who connects a calendar and hosts meetings. Calendly also sells Plus versions of Standard and Teams that bundle its AI notetaker and assistant at a higher price. Prices on the page exclude tax.
| Plan | Annual billing (per seat, per month) | Monthly billing (per seat) | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free | US$0 | US$0 | One person with one type of meeting |
| Standard | US$10 | US$12 | Solo professionals who need several event types and payments |
| Teams | US$16 | US$20 | Small teams sharing booking pages |
| Enterprise | From US$15,000 a year, starts at 50 seats | Not offered | Large organisations |
Annual billing saves about 17% on Standard and 20% on Teams, according to the savings Calendly shows next to each plan. The catch is that you pay the full year upfront: US$120 per Standard seat in one card charge.
Calendly price in rupees: Standard and Teams in ₹
We used ₹96.73 per US dollar, the ECB euro reference rate cross-rate for 9 October 2026 as published by the Frankfurter exchange-rate API. Your bank applies its own rate on the day your card is charged, so treat these as close estimates. The formula is simple: ₹ cost = USD price × exchange rate × 1.18 (GST) × 1.0413 (a 3.5% card markup plus 18% GST on that markup).
| Plan and billing | USD | ₹ before tax | ₹ with 18% GST | ₹ with GST + 3.5% card markup |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Standard, annual (per month) | $10 | ₹967 | ₹1,141 | ₹1,189 |
| Standard, monthly | $12 | ₹1,161 | ₹1,370 | ₹1,426 |
| Teams, annual (per month) | $16 | ₹1,548 | ₹1,826 | ₹1,902 |
| Teams, monthly | $20 | ₹1,935 | ₹2,283 | ₹2,377 |
| Standard, one year paid upfront | $120 | ₹11,608 | ₹13,697 | ₹14,263 |
| Teams, one year paid upfront | $192 | ₹18,572 | ₹21,915 | ₹22,820 |
₹96.73 = US$1, ECB reference rate for 9 October 2026 via the Frankfurter API, checked on 10 October 2026. If the rupee moves to ₹98, Standard monthly with GST and markup rises from about ₹1,426 to about ₹1,445. Re-run the formula with the rate on your card statement.
Does Calendly charge GST in India?
Yes. Calendly's help article on taxes says it is "required to charge Good and Services Tax (GST) on services provided to certain customers" in India, and that business customers should add their GST Identification Number (GSTIN) and company details on the Billing page. What that means for you depends on whether you are registered.
- No GSTIN (most freelancers and new coaches): expect 18% GST on top of the listed price, charged in dollars on the same card payment.
- GST-registered business: add your GSTIN in Settings, Billing. Calendly says a valid tax ID stops tax being applied to future invoices. Under India's rules for imported online services, you then usually pay 18% IGST yourself under reverse charge and can claim it back as input tax credit. Confirm the treatment with your CA.
- Either way, the price on the pricing page is before tax.
The card forex markup on a dollar subscription
Because Calendly charges in dollars, your Indian card adds a foreign currency markup on every payment. Razorpay's guide to forex markup fees says most credit card issuers charge 2% to 3.5% per transaction, debit cards 1% to 3%, and that GST is applied on the markup amount. A 3.5% markup therefore costs about 4.13% once GST is added.
- Check the foreign currency markup in your card's Most Important Terms and Conditions document before you subscribe.
- A low-markup or zero-markup card can save about ₹45 to ₹95 a month on a Standard or Teams seat.
- If a checkout offers to charge you in rupees instead of dollars (dynamic currency conversion), compare the rate before accepting. It is often worse than your bank's rate.
Is Calendly free? Free plan limits in 2026
Yes, Calendly has a free forever plan. As of October 2026 it includes one event type, one calendar connection, one-on-one scheduling, a customisable booking page and the browser extension. That is enough for a single kind of meeting, such as a free 20-minute discovery call.
The limits start to bite when you charge for your time. Calendly's Stripe help article lists payment collection only on paid plans: Professional, Standard, Standard Plus, Teams, Teams Plus and Enterprise. Webhooks, which most automation tools rely on, are also limited to paid plans.
| What you need | Free plan | Standard |
|---|---|---|
| More than one meeting type (intro call + paid session) | No, one event type | Yes |
| More than one connected calendar | No, one calendar | Yes |
| Collect payment at booking (Stripe/PayPal) | No | Yes |
| Webhooks for Zapier-style automation | No | Yes |
| Price in ₹ per month (with GST and 3.5% markup) | ₹0 | ₹1,189 to ₹1,426 |
Calendly and Razorpay: can Indian clients pay by UPI?
Not natively. Calendly collects payments only through Stripe and PayPal, and its Stripe help article lists five supported currencies: AUD, CAD, EUR, GBP and USD. INR and UPI are not mentioned. There is no built-in Razorpay option. For Indian professionals this is a double gap: Stripe accounts are invite-only for Indian businesses, and PayPal stopped domestic payments within India in 2021, so even a paid Calendly plan cannot charge an Indian client ₹1,500 by UPI. If all you need is a deposit before the session, see how to take advance payment for appointments.
Most Indian Calendly users work around this with a connector that sends a Razorpay payment link after the booking, or by putting a UPI ID in the confirmation and checking screenshots by hand. We compare both, with their failure points, in can you take UPI payments on Calendly.
Total cost of Calendly in India: a worked example
Example: Neha is a career coach in Pune. She charges ₹1,500 per session and runs 20 paid sessions a month, so she bills ₹30,000. She needs two event types (a free intro call and a paid session), so the Free plan is out. Because Calendly cannot take rupees, she sends Razorpay payment links separately. Razorpay's standard fee is 2% plus 18% GST on the fee, about 2.36%, or ₹708 on ₹30,000. If you are still setting a rate like Neha's, see how to price coaching services.
| Setup (example: ₹30,000 a month in sessions) | Subscription per month | Payment fees | Total per month | Share of revenue |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Calendly Free + UPI ID checked by hand | ₹0 | ₹0 | ₹0 plus your time | 0%, but one event type and no auto-confirmation |
| Calendly Standard (monthly) + Razorpay links | ₹1,426 | ₹708 | ₹2,134 | 7.1% |
| Calendly Standard (annual) + Razorpay links | ₹1,189 | ₹708 | ₹1,897 | 6.3% |
| Book A Sloth free plan (5% commission) | ₹0 | ₹1,500 + about ₹720 | ₹2,220 | 7.4% |
| Book A Sloth Sloth Active | ₹399 | about ₹720 | ₹1,119 | 3.7% |
The numbers move with your volume. At 5 sessions a month, Calendly's fixed subscription weighs more heavily, and a commission-only plan is cheaper. At 40 sessions, a flat fee wins. Plug your own price and session count into the earnings calculator to see your break-even.
If you mainly need paid 1:1 bookings in rupees
Calendly is a strong scheduler, especially for teams that work in dollars. If your clients are in India and pay in rupees, Book A Sloth was built for that case. Clients book at bookasloth.com/yourname and pay upfront by UPI, card or netbanking through Razorpay, and the booking confirms on payment. Confirmations and reminders go out on email and WhatsApp, and it syncs both ways with Google Calendar and creates Google Meet links. The free plan has no subscription and takes 5% per paid booking; Sloth Active is ₹399 a month or ₹3,599 a year, GST included, with 0% commission. Razorpay's gateway fee of about 2.4% applies on both. It does not do multi-staff calendars or charge in foreign currencies. See pricing or the Calendly alternative page for a side-by-side.
