Feature Update

Sign in with Google, a service page that actually sells, and reviews that go both ways

Onboarding a host used to take a form the length of a tax return. Now it is a Google sign-in and a few steps. The service page got rebuilt to sell, and reviews go both ways.

The fastest way to lose a new host is a signup form that seems to want their blood type. Every field is a tiny reason to close the tab, and closed tabs do not come back. So we rebuilt onboarding around the one button almost everyone already trusts.

Google-first onboarding

Hosts now start with Google sign-in and walk through a short, sensible sequence instead of inventing yet another password to forget by Thursday. Less typing, fewer dead ends, and their calendar and Meet links connect in the same breath. If a guest decides halfway through that they would like to become a host, there is a clean path for that too, no bouncing off a wall. It is the same low-friction thinking behind our 60-second host setup.

A service page rebuilt to sell

The service page, the one that actually turns a curious visitor into a paid booking, got a proper redesign. A hero that sets the tone, a clear “how it works,” real available slots, and reviews sitting exactly where a hesitant buyer goes looking for reassurance. It is laid out the way people genuinely decide: what is this, can I trust it, and when can I have it. Go browse Explore and you will see the difference on any finished listing.

Numbers you can actually read

Hosts also got an interactive earnings trend chart, the hover-and-understand kind, instead of a flat bar that makes you squint and guess at your own income.

Reviews that go both ways

Reviews used to flow one direction: guest rates host, host says thank you into the void. Now it is mutual. Hosts and guests can review each other, reviews are role-separated so it is always clear who is speaking, and there is a dedicated review page reached from a working “leave a review” email. Reputation is a two-way street in real life, and the software finally agrees with real life.

Underneath all of it, guest and host accounts got proper URL separation, so the two worlds stop bleeding into each other. If you onboarded back when it was a marathon, go look at the new flow anyway. It is the version you will actually want to send the next host you refer.
